First of all, we thank God for all of you who have come out to be with us in celebration of our “First Anniversary Service”.  Even in these trying and unusual circumstances you have really shown yourselves supportive.  We thank God for you and pray that He will continue to bless and keep you all safe.  We love you dearly!

By the way of history, God’s Way Christian Church and Ministries (G.W.C.C.M.) got its starts a long time ago when God laid on my heart and mind and placed in my spirit the vision to start a ministry.  He clearly gave me the name, mission and mandate of the church.  I later shared that vision with a few close friends and relatives.  After much prayer, studying and some discussion, it was decided to file for Articles of Incorporation.  And, in 2007, the  Articles of Incorporation was filed with five trustees; Gloria Jones, Glenda Cornick, Charles Wilson, Deacon Gerald Blackwell and Rev. Clarence Mattison.  We received confirmation from the state and was officially recognized as a church and corporation on 09/06/07.  Glory Be to God !!!

Many years went by and I spent those years assisting other pastors and other ministries.  How many know today that God calls, prepares and then He commissions?  There is an anointing to be and an anointing to do.  Also, never forsake your training and preparation.  So, finally in 2018, God allowed the vision to become a reality.  We began to speak to the saints about launching the ministry.  It was strange timing because I was in the middle of campaigning for the pastorate of one church and helping out another church whose pastor had gone on to glory, while being the assistant pastor at my home church.

As a result of a decision of the saints, we began to meet for service at 4:00pm at my house.  We had wonderful services and we accomplished much to organize and galvanize this ministry.  We were small in number, but powerful in accomplishing God’s work.  So finally, in January 2019 after a two week snow and ice delay, we launched our ministry and we have been going strong ever since.  We have been blessed to have wonderful friend and brother pastor who opened his doors to us in January 2019.  He has been nothing but a great friend, support and blessing to this ministry.  We are so proud to claim Pastor Gary Payton and the St. James Free Baptist Church as a vital part of our history and ministry.

We give so much thanks to all of our current members and to all those that have taken part of this ministry until this present day.  We could not have succeeded without your help.  We thank God for the great and wonderful things He has done and we are looking forward to the many accomplishments and blessings He will do through this ministry in the years to come.  To God Be The Glory, Amen !!!
